Profile, currency, appearance, security, and your data.

Settings and profile in EconoGlance, light and dark mode

Everything about your account lives under the Profile tab.

Profile & avatar

Profile → Edit profile lets you change your name and avatar (cartoon avatars or your own photo).

Default currency

Settings → Default currency sets the currency for new groups (existing group currencies are fixed). 35+ currencies supported.

Appearance

Settings → Appearance switches Light, Dark, or System.

Notifications & security

Settings → Notifications controls push alerts. Settings → Security lets you set/change a password (optional — magic link/OTP works without one).

Forgot / reset password

  1. On sign-in, tap Forgot password.

  2. Enter your email — we send a 6-digit code from [email protected].

  3. Enter the code and choose a new password.

The code-based flow works the same on iOS and Android.

Export your data

Settings → Export to PDF / Excel downloads your expense data. You can also export a single group's expenses as CSV from its ••• menu.

Delete your account

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time, right from the app.

  1. Go to Profile → Account → Delete account (it's also under Settings → Security → Account).

  2. Review what will be removed, then tap Delete my account and confirm.

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. It removes your profile, the groups you own and their expenses, and everything you added. Expenses you logged in a group that still exists may remain so the group's balances stay correct, shown as "(removed)". Prefer to ask us, or can't access the app?
